'Dr. Prabha Atrre Foundation' was registered in May 2000.

The Foundation – a non-profit making organisation has taken inception with a main aim to promote, propagate and popularise the Indian performing arts in general and the Indian classical music in particular; besides to spread Indian culture, Indian philosophy, fine arts, literature, and other fields of knowledge.

The Foundation proposes to render assistance to institutions and individuals working for a 'cause'.

P.S.: The Foundation requests philanotrophists to donate generously for the 'cause'.
All donations to the Foundation are eligible for deduction U/S 80G of the Income Tax Act from 1-4-2002 to 31-3-2005 applicable for the years 2003–2006 vide Income Tax Dept. letter No. DIT(E)/MC/80-G/1038/2002 dated 22-01-2003.
